Information about allergens

Dear Parents,
We would like to inform you that the food products used to prepare meals may contain substances that can cause allergies or intolerance reactions. Here is a list of allergenic ingredients:

1. Cereals containing gluten, including wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kamut, or their hybrid varieties, and derivative products. Exceptions include:

Wheat-based glucose syrups containing dextrose*
– Wheat-based maltodextrin*
– Barley-based glucose syrups
– Cereals used for the production of alcoholic distillates, including ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin

2. Crustaceans and derivative products

3. Eggs and derivative products

4. Fish and derivative products. Exceptions include:

– Fish gelatin used as a carrier for preparations containing vitamins or carotenoids
– Fish gelatin or isinglass used as fining agents for beer and wine

5. Peanuts and derivative products

6. Soy and derivative products. Exceptions include:
– Completely refined soybean oil and soy fat*
– A mixture of natural tocopherols (E306), natural D-alpha-tocopherol, natural D-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, natural D-alpha-tocopheryl succinate of soybean origin
– Phytosterols and phytostanols esters obtained from plant oils of soybean origin
– Plant stanol ester produced from sterols of plant oils of soybean origin

7. Milk and dairy products (including lactose). Exceptions include:
– Whey used for the production of alcoholic distillates, including ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin – Lactitol

8. Nuts, including almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts, and Queensland nuts, as well as derivative products. Exceptions include nuts used for the production of alcoholic distillates, including ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin.

12. Sulfur dioxide and sulfites at concentrations exceeding 10mg/kg or 10mg/liter in terms of total SO2 content for products ready for consumption or prepared for consumption according to the manufacturers’ instructions.

*And derivative products, as long as the processing they have undergone is unlikely to increase allergenicity, as assessed by the competent authority with respect to the product from which they are derived.
